Mon Ètè Swim — Ethics & Sustainability
At Mon Ètè Swim, we focus on creating consciously made swimwear and resort wear with an emphasis on quality, sustainability, and ethical production.
Around 90% of our swimwear is made using sustainable recycled fabrics, including REPREVE® — a recycled performance fibre created from post-consumer plastic bottles. Our core swim fabric is composed of 82% Recycled Polyamide and 12% Elastane, chosen for its durability, comfort, and lower environmental impact. Where needed, we use alternative fabrics for specialty finishes, such as our shiny Sumatra fabric. We will always create high-quality garments designed to last, always prioritising premium fabrications across both swim and resort wear, including natural fibres and luxury fabrics.
We aim to follow a pre-order or made-to-order model where possible to reduce excess waste and encourage more conscious consumption. Rather than producing constant collections, we focus on a small number of intentional drops each year, taking time to thoughtfully design pieces we genuinely love and believe in creating for the long term. All pieces are produced in small batches to minimise overproduction and waste, with any deadstock donated to people in need or relevant organisations wherever possible.
Our garments are handmade in Indonesia in partnership with small manufacturers and skilled artisans, allowing us to support local craftsmanship and other small businesses throughout our production process.
